Although children, youth, and families have access to mental health services in French in Ontario, there is still a disparity in the training available for professionals who provide these services in French. Over the past three years, the government has invested in Francophone training initiatives for several reasons: to enhance the skills of French-speaking professionals, to promote networking among Francophone professionals, and, most importantly, to improve the quality of services for our Francophone youth and their families.
Join Catherine Dupont, Director of Clinical Services at Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell, for a bilingual lunch discussion on:
• The challenges related to delivering services in French within your agencies.
• Opportunities for professional development for Francophone employees.
• The future of training and skill enhancement initiatives in French in the province.
We hope to see you for this enriching discussion to continue building equitable conditions and opportunities for Francophone professionals working in the field of mental health!
