Description

The Remote-Talk In Clinic is a Dufferin Child and Family Services (DCAFS)– Child and Youth Mental Health program that bridges community mental health with milieu service delivery. This program combines evidence-based clinical interventions for youth with accessible mental health service delivery across Dufferin County. The Remote Talk-In Clinic is an innovative approach that is both clinically grounded and community-informed ensuring that high quality treatment is available to youth in an alternative setting. This program provides same-day psychotherapy sessions to high school students via solution-focused interventions and/or appropriate referrals to ongoing treatment and support. The Talk-In Clinic acts as a one-stop pathway to both immediate and potential ongoing service, while meeting the students where they are at. This Talk-In Clinic exists in partnership with the local school board and promotes enhanced collaboration and seamless service delivery between community mental health clinicians and school staff.
