Wendy is a mother of two neurodivergent sons, ages 20 and 16, both with lifelong mental health challenges. As a caregiver who has navigated the children and youth mental health system through crises, hospitalizations, and her son’s suicidality, Wendy brings a deeply informed perspective on how families experience care. She has spent years advocating for effective, compassionate support and collaborating with clinicians to find solutions that truly meet young people’s needs. Wendy shares her lived experience with the goal of improving pathways of care, strengthening caregiver–provider partnerships, and fostering more humane, accessible mental health services for youth.
