Antonietta Gutierrez (she/her) is a Peer Support Worker with the RBC Pathway to Peers Program led by the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Medicine Institute (SREMI) at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Alongside pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work at Toronto Metropolitan University, Antonietta has worked in community settings with children, youth, adults, and families grieving a death, people living with a life-limiting illness and teens living with mental health challenges. Antonietta discovered the power of peer support as a bereaved teenager navigating loss, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Antonietta approaches her work with humanity, compassion and a deep commitment to antiracism, social justice, and equity.
