Ashley Charbonneau (she/her) is a Peer Support Worker with the Pathway to Peers Program at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto. In her role, Ashley provides compassionate, youth-centered peer support to youth navigating mental health and substance-use challenges. Ashley has worked in community spaces that prioritize inclusivity, accessibility, and meaningful connection. She contributes to initiatives that promote positive change, reduce stigma surrounding mental health, and improve access to supportive healthcare resources. Ashley's peer support journey is rooted in her own lived experience. These experiences inform her approach to supporting youth who may be feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or uncertain about their mental health. Ashley is committed to advocacy and works through an anti-racist, trauma-informed, equity, and inclusion lens to ensure that peer support spaces remain accessible, affirming, and responsive to the diverse communities they serve.
