Charles Lin founded Impact Net Zero (impactnetzero.ca) in 2020, an outreach initiative on climate change and energy transition aimed at the Canadian public, and now leads the project. In 2019, Charles was a Fellow of the Advanced Leadership Initiative of Harvard University. He was a professor of weather and climate science at the University of Toronto (1979-86) and McGill University (1986-2007), and a research scientist (1979-80) and Director General (2007-2017) in Environment and Climate Change Canada of the Canadian federal government. He has published over 70 articles in weather and climate science in refereed scientific journals.
