Adebola Adefioye is a passionate social impact leader, educator, and PhD student in Policy Studies (Immigration and Settlement) at Toronto Metropolitan University. She is the Executive Director of the Afro Women and Youth Foundation (AWYF), a charity supporting immigrant women, youth, and families through wellness, leadership, and community empowerment programs. With over 20 years of experience in child and youth development across Nigeria and Canada, Adebola’s work focuses on advancing children’s rights, mental health, and social inclusion. Her research and advocacy emphasize community-based, culturally responsive approaches that foster belonging, resilience, and equitable systems for immigrant children and families.
