Dr. Mansfield is a qualitative researcher and sociologist who brings skills and experience in intersectionality gender studies, mental health advocacy, implementation science and arts-based methods to her current participatory research program in Peel region. Collaborating with community members and partners, Dr. Mansfield supports research engaging inclusive and innovative practices to develop actionable local knowledge informed by the lived experience of members from diverse communities. Participating in strengths-based, inclusive initiatives, community members share their observations and insights through visual narrative methods such as digital storytelling and photovoice.
