Deborah Scharf, PhD, senior clinician-scientist at the Institute for Better Health, is a clinical and health psychologist, registered for autonomous practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Scharf’s research is designed to improve mental health and addiction delivery systems through innovations in clinical quality measurement, training, service, finance, and policy. Her interests include models of integrated care for complex and underserved populations including people with serious mental illness, and cancer and comorbidities. Dr. Scharf’s other research uses in vivo electronic data capture methods to study tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis use in adults and youth.
